ANDRO Computational Solutions announced today the launch of an internal school supply drive to support local students in need. Employees across the company are gathering backpacks, notebooks, writing supplies, and other classroom essentials to help families prepare their children for the new school year. Outside organizations are also encouraged to participate with ANDRO in this worthy endeavor.
“Community partnerships are at the heart of what makes our community strong,” said Dr. Andy Drozd, President of ANDRO. “We wanted to take action to make sure every student begins the school year ready to learn. Supporting children and families in our community is one of the most meaningful investments we can make.”
For more than 30 years, ANDRO Computational Solutions, LLC has been committed to serving the Mohawk Valley and Central New York community. Beyond technological innovation, the company invests in efforts that encourage the next generation of engineers and scientists and develop the workforce of tomorrow, ensuring that today’s students are prepared for future opportunities.
The collected supplies will be delivered to the Project Fibonacci Foundation for distribution to students during the Community Coming Together food distribution event on Friday, September 12 at Sacred Heart Parish / St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in downtown Rome.
ANDRO has been a supporter of these food distribution efforts dedicated to addressing food insecurity since its launch during the COVID-19 pandemic, working in collaboration with volunteers from the church, the Food Bank of Central New York, and the Project Fibonacci Foundation. This ongoing partnership continues to provide vital resources for families across the region, serving well over 400 families a month.
ANDRO invites other local businesses and individuals to join this effort. Donations of backpacks, notebooks, writing supplies, and other school essentials are welcome. Those interested in contributing can reach out to ANDRO Computational Solutions at cnewvine@androcs.com to coordinate pickup by Thursday, September 11.
Together, local organizations and community members are stepping up to ensure that no student is left behind this school year.
