ANDRO Proud to Sponsor Wreaths Across America

ANDRO was honored to once again support Wreaths Across America, joining communities across the region in paying tribute to our nation’s military veterans and first responders.

On Saturday, Dec. 13, local ceremonies will take place as part of the national Wreaths Across America observance, whose mission is to REMEMBER the fallen, HONOR those who serve and their families, and TEACH the next generation the value of freedom.

In the Rome and surrounding areas, ceremonies are scheduled for noon at the following cemeteries, where wreaths will be placed at the graves of service members and first responders:

  • Rome: St. John’s, St. Mary’s, St. Peter’s, and Wright Settlement cemeteries
  • Lee Center: Evergreen Cemetery
  • Westernville: Westernville Presbyterian Cemetery
  • Utica: Forest Hill Cemetery, 2201 Oneida St. (veterans section at the top of the hill)

An additional ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. at The Old Burying Ground in Clinton.

These events mark the 14th annual Rome-area Wreaths Across America observance, organized by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 944 in partnership with local cemetery staffs. The majority of wreaths are made possible through the generous support of local businesses, organizations, and individuals.

ANDRO is proud to be recognized as a Silver Level sponsor, standing alongside other community partners who share a commitment to honoring service and sacrifice. A portion of wreath sponsorship proceeds supports Chapter 944’s youth-focused programs, including Junior ROTC units at area high schools and organizations that promote leadership, patriotism, and civic involvement.

The public is encouraged to attend any of the ceremonies. Family members and friends of the deceased—especially children—are invited to participate in placing wreaths and helping ensure the legacy of service is never forgotten.

At ANDRO, we believe remembrance is not a single day, but a responsibility we carry forward together. We are grateful to play a small part in honoring those who gave so much.
